3D Scanning

• Once the model and concept are finalized, ZACOE Performance sources an OEM car and conducts a 3D scanning process to create a highly accurate digital model. Using specialized scanners, the exact shape and dimensions of the car’s exterior are captured, forming the foundation for the design process. With a commitment to precision, especially for their intricate inner mechanisms and bolt-on fitment, ZACOE devotes over 40 hours to scanning each car.

Digital Design & Testing

• After completing the 3D scanning, ZACOE’s design team gathers for brainstorming sessions, beginning with hand-drawn sketches to outline initial concepts. These sketches are then refined in computer-aided design (CAD) software, where the team brings their boldest ideas to life. Once a draft design is ready, basic aerodynamic testing is performed using advanced software, showcasing ZACOE’s reliance on cutting-edge technology to achieve exceptional quality and innovative results.

Prototyping

• With the digital model tested and finalized, ZACOE moves on to crafting a physical prototype of the kit using ABS material. Employing equipment such as 3D printers and CNC machines, the team fabricates each component, which is then assembled and tested on the car to ensure perfect fitment and optimal performance.

Mold-making

• After prototype testing and adjustments, ZACOE transitions to creating the mold for the carbon fiber kit. The prototype serves as a template for crafting molds for each component, blending skilled manual techniques with specialized machinery. This meticulous process results in a sleek, lightweight carbon fiber kit that enhances the car’s performance and aesthetics.
