The McLaren 720S Center Quad Exhaust Conversion Kit redefines the rear design of the McLaren 720S, delivering a more aggressive 765LT-inspired appearance. This kit, first unveiled at SEMA Show 2022, was showcased on the McLaren 720S Galaxy Carbon Fiber Widebody build — a collaboration between ZACOE Performance and Creative Bespoke. The project replaced the factory exhaust with a sportier-sounding system to unleash the V8’s signature soundtrack, incorporating Fi EXHAUST technology for enhanced performance and aesthetics. Custom exhaust tips were chosen to complement the yellow-black color scheme, while a ceramic-coated aluminum panel protects the carbon fiber rear bumper from heat and wear, maintaining durability and visual appeal. A protective clear coat was also applied to the carbon fiber rear bumper to shield it from UV rays and fading. The following products are included with the kit.

The Fi McLaren 720S Exhaust System is constructed from high-grade T304 stainless steel and incorporates valvetronic technology to regulate airflow, adjust sound volume, and boost overall performance. This system increases horsepower by an estimated 5-10% when paired with a full catless setup, including a valvetronic catback and ultra-high flow downpipe. Its unique design features custom muffler internals tailored to provide an exceptional driving experience for the McLaren 720S Coupe and Spider. Both valved and non-valved versions are available. The non-valved version eliminates exhaust valves for reduced weight and maximum sound output, while the valved version integrates valve controls for adjustable sound levels. Two valved configurations are offered: one compatible with OEM valve motors to retain factory settings, and another designed for models without valvetronic capabilities, utilizing Fi’s remote control system for valve regulation. The system provides a versatile driving experience, switching between low-profile comfort and intense sporty soundtracks depending on the valve position and mode settings.

Valve / Non-Valve

• The non-valved version eliminates exhaust valves to ensure an unrestricted flow of exhaust gases, reducing weight and maximizing sound volume. In contrast, the valved version incorporates advanced valvetronic technology, allowing seamless control over sound profiles, from Street to Race. This system not only adjusts sound volume but also enhances vehicle performance. When the valve is closed, it increases exhaust back pressure, improving torque at low RPM. When opened, it boosts horsepower at high RPM while delivering a rich, elevated sound.

Ceramic Coating

• Fi EXHAUST replaces traditional thermal insulation materials containing harmful substances with a nano-ceramic coating applied directly to the exhaust pipe. This coating prevents corrosion, reduces heat exposure to sensitive components in the engine bay, and maintains lower temperatures. This innovation extends the durability of the exhaust system and other heat-sensitive parts, such as wiring, prone to thermal degradation.

Carbon Fiber

• 3D Scanning: ZACOE Performance begins by acquiring an OEM car and conducting precise 3D scanning to create an exceptionally accurate digital model. This process captures the vehicle’s exterior dimensions and shape with specialized scanners, serving as the foundation for integrating complex inner mechanisms and bolt-on fitment. Each scanning session typically requires over 40 hours.
• Digital Design & Testing: Once the digital model is complete, ZACOE Performance designers engage in collaborative brainstorming sessions, starting with hand-drawn sketches. These sketches evolve into detailed designs through computer-aided design (CAD) software, where bold concepts take shape. Aerodynamic testing is then conducted using advanced software, combining creative innovation with cutting-edge technology to ensure designs of the highest quality and sophistication.
• Prototyping: After the digital model passes testing, ZACOE Performance fabricates a physical prototype using ABS material. Advanced equipment such as 3D printers and CNC machines is utilized to produce individual components. The prototype is assembled and tested on the vehicle to confirm fitment and performance accuracy.
• Mold-making: Following successful testing and adjustments, ZACOE Performance transitions to the mold-making process for the carbon fiber kit. The prototype serves as the template for creating molds, which are used to produce the final product. This process, combining precision craftsmanship and advanced machinery, results in a lightweight, high-performance carbon fiber kit that elevates both the car’s aesthetics and functionality.
